- August 19: Ladder, ventilation and ropes & knots
- Sept 16: Squad, rescue tools, car fire procedures
- October 21: CPR
- November 18: First-Aid
- December 16: Water Rescues
Have you dreamed of riding on a fire truck, swinging an axe or dousing flames? Flourtown Fire Company is proud to offer a Firefighter Explorer Program for teens age 14-16. Meeting every third Monday (6-8PM) in the Summer and through the Fall you’ll learn how to help the community, life skills, and get introduced to leadership skills. Participation is free and will also will look great on college/job applications. FFCo is chartered to help the community and do our best to protect life, the public, property and, of course, other responders. Firefighters with Flourtown Fire Company go through extensive training at the Company, County and State level to become certified firefighters and support and assist firefighters, EMS and the police throughout the township and in the surrounding area. They will be your instructors. It’s up to you how far you want to take the training, after you’ve completed the training in the basics, specialty training in rescue, EMS and fire ground leadership are available. Please join us.
