We had such a good time with our Golf Outing for our 100th Anniversary in 2010, Flourtown Fire Company decided to do it again in 2011. Fun was had by all, a beautiful day on the golf course sure beats anywhere else.
Devised by Captain Chris Manning, this obstacle course search and rescue drill had the crew twisting and turning as they traversed the course blindfolded.

Propane Grills
Check the gas tank hose for leaks before using it for the first time each year. Apply a light soap and water solution to the hose. A propane leak will release bubbles. If your grill has a gas leak, by smell or the soapy bubble test, and there is no flame, turn off the gas tank and grill. If the leak stops, get the grill serviced by a professional before using it again. If the leak does not stop, call the fire department. If you smell gas while cooking, immediately get away from the grill and call the fire department. Do not move the grill.
Company responded to 1668 Bethlehem Pk. for a odor of electrical burning inside the store. Assisted by the Oreland and Wyndmoor Fire Companies,firefighter found a overheated light ballast to be the cause. Company was in service for 23 minutes.
