Springfield Township Police Department

Today after burglary suspects fled from police in Upper Dublin and crashed in Oreland, members of the Upper Dublin, Springfield, Cheltenham, Whitemarsh and other agencies tracked suspects through the area and have 1 of the 3 in custody. The other 2 are believed to have fled the area. The speculations posted on the springfield community Facebook pages about the subjects being armed are false.

Officers in town are stretched thin due to multiple investigations going on at the same time. Please refrain from calling to ask about the activity. When details can be released by Upper Dublin Township Police Department they will be.

Flourtown assisted Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 in providing a ladder arch at the Upper Dublin High School Spirit Week “Race for Recovery” to benefit students in Humble School District, along with supporting Upper Dublin Police Corporal Bill Carroll with his ongoing recovery from a head injury incurred in August of 2016.
