At this hour, the Wissahickon Creek continues to rise. W.Valley Green Rd is now closed between Cricket Rd and Stenton Ave. Flood gates are down.

If the creek continues to rise at this rate, the rest of W. Valley Green Rd may have to be closed within the next hour or so.

Residents of Creek Lane and Hunt Lane:
If the remainder of W. Valley Green Rd has to be closed, you will have no way to get in or out of your neighborhoods. Please take appropriate action now.

The Wissahickon Creek is currently at elevated levels. Due to the bridge on W. Valley Green Rd being closed, residents in the immediate area are reminded that all entry and exits must be made from the Cricket Club side of the bridge.

If the creek rises and W. Valley Green Rd needs to be closed, residents on Creek Lane and Hunt Lane will not have access in or out. Please keep an eye on the creek levels and take appropriate action.

Police will continually monitor the area and will notify again if the roadway will be closed.
