It’s hard to believe that the first half of 2014 is over. To help us remember the first 6-months of the year, firefighter Greg Fasold put together a video for us!
On the evening of July 10, 2014 in the John Kulick Memorial Auditorium at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus, one of Flourtown Fire Company’s firefighters were recognized for their achievement of obtaining accreditation and certification as Firefighter Level 1.
Jake Frye was a part of the class that completed the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Essentials of Firefighting and Emergency Response Curriculum. This class required the students to complete 166-hours of training in order to receive their State Certification as a Firefighter Level I.
Congratulations! The Flourtown Fire Company is proud of your achievement, and even more proud to have you as a member of our department.
Flourtown firefighters participate in the School District of Springfield Township’s Extended School Year Program:
High School Students (9th-12th grades) who participate in the program learn about their community and resources.
They (SDST High School Students) were excited to make community connections to what they are learning in school….”Real World Connections”.

The weather is hot, and pools are “cool”.
Safety is everyone’s concern, and pool safety is no exception.
Please take a moment to review this video to review a few simple steps to secure your backyard, and prevent drownings and entrapment.
After many decades of service, Flourtown Fire Company outgrew the old storage pavilion that was behind the firehouse. A new larger building is currently being constructed to meet our need to store maintenance equipment, fire equipment, training props, as well as various other items.
Keep checking back regularly, because photos will continue to be added as the building is constructed.
