At 5:49am, the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company and other mutual aide fire companies were alerted to a barn fire in the north western portion of the Township. Crews arrived on scene to a fire that was well advanced and had already consumed a majority of the building. Volunteers from many surrounding volunteer fire companies worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control. No injuries have been reported. (The barn was not used for animals)

The fire remains under investigation by the Whitemarsh Township Fire Marshal's Office.

Thank You to our Mutual Aide Fire Companies, EMS and Police for the assistance this morning.
