Springfield Township Police Department

A SNOW EMERGENCY has been declared for Springfield Township beginning at 7 PM Tuesday, March 20.Once a snow emergency is declared for Springfield Township, all vehicles must be removed from the public roadway so that the public works department can clear the streets as quickly and completely as possible.
The Department of Public Works will be clearing all primary roadways throughout the storm for emergency services. Once the snow has ended, plowing operations will be completed on the remaining roadways. Depending on the amount of snowfall received, it may take up to 8 hours from the end of the snowfall for the public works department to clear all 200 lane miles of roadway. If your road has not been plowed for the final time, please DO NOT remove the snow from the last 5 to 6 feet of your driveway as it will be plowed in when the plow makes its final pass along the curb line. If cars remain parked in the street throughout the storm, the street will not be plowed a second time once the cars are removed.
