This Sunday was a busy one at the Flourtown Fire Company. Early in the morning, a group of members ran in the 5K race prior to the start of Springfield Township Community Day. Firefighter Chris Mctear placed 2nd in his age group. After the race, members participated in community day handing out fire prevention materials and displaying our variety of apparatus and equipment. Later in the evening the Township Fire Companies were alerted for a reported house fire in the Flourtown Gardens section of the Township. The fire was contained to a window AC unit in a rear bedroom.
