Engine 6 is a 2000 Pierce custom Quantum pumper. Engine 6 features a 500hp Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine with an Allison automatic transmission, a 1,750 gallon per minute pump and holds 1,000 gallons of water. The truck can hold 8 firefighters. Engine 6 is equipped with 8 SCBAs and a full assortment of engine company equipment. Engine 6 is also equipped with a 24 ft. extension ladder and a 14 ft. roof ladder. Engine 6 runs 2 1 ¾” attack reels off both sides of the truck. It also runs 200ft. of 1 ¾” attack line off the rear, 200ft. of 2 ½” line off the rear and also has 1000ft. of 5inch supply line. Engine 6 responds as the first out unit for all fire alarms, building fires and odors inside buildings in our first due response area. Also equipped with Water Rescue Equipment.
