Truck Fire – Fraser Road – 4/8/11

900 Block Fraser Road on April 8, 2011 at 07:34 hours

Squad 6 arrives on scene with a pick-up truck well involved, with exposure to a fence and brush of adjoining property. Member’s stretched a 1.75″ line on the fire and made a quick knock on the fire. Company in service for 30 minutes.

Auto Accident – 1400 Block Bethlehem Pike

This auto hit the pole at around 1:11 am on Saturday morning April 2nd. Bethlehem Pike in the area of the accident was closed for almost 12 hours while PECO Energy made repairs. Members were in service for one hour assisting Springfield Police. Minor injuries to the driver of the car.

Auto Accident – 9800 Germantown Ave

Squad 6 responded on March 30 to Germantown and Northwestern Ave for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Members assisted EMS and secured hazards which included radioactive medical bio-hazards.

Building Fire – 1668 Bethlehem Pike

Company responded to 1668 Bethlehem Pk. for a odor of electrical burning inside the store. Assisted by the Oreland and Wyndmoor Fire Companies,firefighter found a overheated light ballast to be the cause. Company was in service for 23 minutes.

RIT Team Responses to Upper Dublin

On January 16, 2011, Flourtown responded as a RIT team to assist Ft. Washington Fire Co. (Sta. 88) at the scene of a non-commercial building fire.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the property was saved.
